Job Description

Stay Easy Plus Addis Ababa Hotel is a five-star local branded hotel located at Addisu Gebeya Gulele Sub-City Keble 19/15 around Total Gas station. It has 103 spacious and furnished rooms with 6 big Venus (meeting rooms), well-organized pastry shops, three Bars, and one Classic Restaurant with an open kitchen ready to accommodate all international Guests. 

Position Summary:

Obtaining the highest quality of cleanliness in the hotel, and to provide efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to customers; hence maximizing guest satisfaction. All work will be in line with the hotel’s guidelines and business plan, the departmental business plan, and the Stay Easy plus Addis Ababa guidelines and service concepts.

Housekeeping Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares schedules as requested, and in accordance with forecasted occupancy

  • Keeps self-updated on available rooms, including maintenance and early/late check-ins and check-outs, and communicates information to Room Attendants

  • Organizes the daily activities of the housekeeping staff

  • Conducts daily and random inspections of the guest rooms, and other housekeeping areas as requested by the Executive Housekeeper.

  • Informs Executive Housekeeper about accurate room status.

  • Keeps track of guest comment and comments card, and help find solutions with Executive Housekeeper.

  • Brings all needs for repair to the attention of the General Manager

  • Keep track of control amenities, notify any needs to General Manager

  • Attests requisition orders for housekeeping equipment and supplies

  • Handles the daily inventory keeping and disbursement for all linen, uniforms, cleaning supplies, guest rooms and rest rooms supplies, laundry supplies, and housekeeping related machinery and equipment

  • Supervises all rotational and special cleaning programs 

  • Handles “Lost and Found” on a daily basis

  • Checks “in house” or “stay over” rooms 

  • Fills out maintenance orders as needed

  • Do monthly inventory for amenities

  • Checks linen closets and carts for cleanliness and supplies

  • Checks, equips and stocks VIP rooms according to instruction

  • Knows all housekeeping procedures to be a resource when needed

  • Confers closely with the General manager, and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the position in order to fill in where needed

  • Is aware of departmental costs; takes action to control labor, amenities and supply costs 

  • Keeps Executive Housekeeper aware and updated

  • Perform any tasks which is given form your manager with regards to the department

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • A high standard of spoken and written English.

  • Flexible working hours subject to the demands of the business.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Excellent background of Dray and Laundry and housekeeping

  • BA Degree or Certification on Hotel Management and related filed

  • Five Years’ Experience in related position, 2 years’ on the required position
