Job Description
Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) that aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major programs; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development, Lobby & advocacy, and Humanitarian & emergency response. DEC works in five National Regional States of Amhara, Afar, Gambela, Oromia Benishangul, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following position: Camp Management and camp Coordinator /CCCM /Team Leader
Job Description
Responsible for designing, planning, and information management.
Create the humanitarian space necessary for the effective delivery of protection and assistance.
Develop exit strategies and more durable solutions, it liaises closely with local actors, including civil society organizations.
providing overall leadership. S/he works closely with other district-level coordinators,
Organizing and maintaining the relationship with teams and partners.
Provision of appropriate advice and capacity support to the team
Provide assessment methodologies to identify threats to the rights of the displaced populations and assess protection risks, assistance gaps, resources, and opportunities available within the displaced and host communities
Evaluating the performance of the camp managing team
Ensuring at protection activities, project delivery, and camp management are all conducted through community-based approaches
Ensure adequate reporting and effective information sharing amongst all partners
Duty station: Jara /Woldia and Debrebrehan
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
BA /MA in Social Science and related fields, at least 2 years of experience
Technical and other Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication in both local and English languages.
Willing to work at IDP preference time including on the weekend and evening
Good understanding of humanitarian standards;
Experience in the field of needs assessments;
Experience in humanitarian coordination;
Experience in managing teams and project management;
