Job Description
Job Purpose
To provide Technical support with the implementation, management, maintenance, and development of IT polices, regulation and guidelines in North program area. To liaise and communicate with head office ICT officer in relation of IT issues
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Insure all Concern standard software are installed on every Concern computers and make sure that all computers and IT infrastructure follows the Concern IT policy
Computer, Printer and Photocopier Maintenance's and troubleshooting have to done timely.
Defected components of computer, windows and applications maintained and replaced.
Web root anti-virus are installed in every concern laptop.
Power protection and backup devices connected to all network devices to protect them from damage due to power.
Make sure LAN and internet connection is properly functioning.
Support Procurement officers in identifying the right IT related equipment's purchase.
Follow up on IT related equipment maintenance in collaboration with other units.
Make filed visit to our project office for IT support.
Facilitate concern account creation, update and Termination in collaboration with the HR department.
Take concern computer inventory audit report periodically.
Perform daily and weekly backup as per concern backup procedure.
Make sure that the Concern standard Antivirus software is installed in all concern machines and frequently check that it has the latest update definitions.
Properly name all concern computers and network devices.
Remove unsafe and not licensed as well as non-concern standard software from computers.
Follow up all IT equipment's i.e. computers, printers and photocopiers are dust protected.
Follow up computer and network users are using internet service without interruption.
Provide continues support for concern staff on
· On outlook usage.
· Printer and Scanner usage.
· IT equipment usage.
· On how to access concern network and web based services.
· On how to take backups from their system and recovering files.
Awareness creation about concern IT police and on concern web based services individually and in-group.
Work in cooperation with the ISP (Internet Service Provider) Ethio-Telecom to fix problems when service failure occurred from their side.
Accountability mechanisms as an integrated part of the planning and evaluation cycles
Emergency Response

Ensure that support staffs have a strong understanding of gender mainstreaming and that gender mainstreaming tools are effectively implemented
Coordinate with the Gender Equality officer/coordinator in planning, allocating and implementing a program budget for gender mainstreaming
Ensure that gender mainstreaming is effectively implemented and monitored throughout the employment process
Ensure that gender sensitive indicators plans are in place and that they are effectively monitored

In line with Concern’s commitments under the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS):
Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communities.
Person Specification
Essential:
BSc degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with min. 4 years relevant experience
College Diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems with min. 7 years relevant experience
Fluent spoken & written English
NGO experience an advantage
Good communication and report writing skills
Competencies:

Excellent networking, representation and coordination and negotiation skills with government and other agencies.
Flexible, reliable, culturally sensitive
The ability to work in teams/ isolated situation and stressful environments and under pressure meeting deadlines.
Initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision
