Habesha Breweries S.C. is looking for a Divisional Manager - Gondar.

The Role Summary:

To lead, motivate and monitor a Divisional Sales Team and Key Distributors and their crew. Manage the sales team to execute the sales plans in a manner that delivers sustainable growth, brand equity, sales volume, market share, and competitive advantage in order to deliver business goals and strategies.

Result areas & responsibilities 

Motivate and passionate workforce 

  • Set objectives with all team members by the end of January

  • Have one-to-one meetings throughout the year

  • Carry out mid and end-of-year performance and development reviews conducted

  • Support the individual’s ongoing development, including coaching, empowerment, and mentoring team member

  • Complete the recruitment process where there are vacancies in the assigned division

Satisfied customers

  • Develop strong relationships with key customers

  • Ensure the delivery of quality customer services

  • Provide timely feedback for any customer queries

Effective Route-to-Market operation

  • Gather specific data and understand the market need

  • Develop and maintain the outlet universe through correct classification

  • Liaise with the Distribution team to ensure stock availability

  • Manage the overall delivery operation of the division in collaboration with ASMs and agents.

  • Ensure product availability in all registered outlets

  • Manage the allocation of POS materials per the standards of the company.

Effective sales performance 

  • Generates insights 

  • Deliver the divisional sales plan, achieving the sales target

  • Deliver the highest standard of execution throughout the division

  • Ensure targets are met in terms of sales efficiency and profitability

Improved market and table share

  • Keep up to date with competitors’ activities, initiatives, and customer trends.

  • Ensure on-time delivery to increase reachability and market share

  • Plan, organize, and implement various market activation activities (beer invitations, activations, events... )

  • Continuously monitor table share in selected outlets.

Safety, health, and Environment (SHE)

  • Compliance with the company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Report health and safety hazards/near misses that might cause a risk

  • Participate in an incident investigation in his/her area of function

Job Requirements

The Person

This role is positioned at a managerial level and requires a well-experienced Sales Manager, who will have the opportunity to develop their career further within a very progressive Learning and Development environment, in a dynamic and exciting work atmosphere.

A university-level degree in any field and, ideally 8 plus years of work experience in a similar role with good communication and expression ability is necessary. 

  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.

  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and consultative sales skills

  • Experience in the beverage or manufacturing industry is a plus;

  • Knowledge and familiarity with the concerned sales division
