Job Description
The purpose of the CPIMS Coordinator position is to ensure CPIMS+ is functioning well and quality data and information is entered, maintained, analysed, and disseminated for effective reporting and documentation of program activities as per the Child protection minimum standards. She/he will be technically assisted by child protection specialist.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Child Protection Manager
Staff directly reporting to this post: camp based data entry clerks (3 in #)
Manage CPIMS+/Primero Across all the three camps by making sure that it is functioning
Actively participate on Information Management Working Group Meeting and others as relevant.
Support the preparation and delivery of technical trainings on CP IMS, Data management, provide coaching and technical support to the field officers and data clerks as needed.
Customizing CPIMS + database whenever needed together with the CP working group.
Match inquirer information against UASC for reunification purpose.
Exporting and importing data for different reporting purpose,
Review case load and monitoring statistics with the CP IMS data entry clerks; setting targets for case follow-ups and closure and identifying gaps as appropriate.
Maintain an appropriate filling system of received, open and closed cases as received from field sites and from other partners.
Make sure the physical file of children are properly stored with the right SCI code and inactive files are separated from the active one.
Implement the Data Protection Policy/Protocol and appropriate standards for confidentiality of the information on the children at Gambella and monitor staff to adhere to the protocol
Orientate new data entry staff on CPIMS before they start working.
Making sure that data protocol is in place in all Camps.
Making sure that data Entries are fully engaged with their roles and responsibilities.
Addressing issues to Line manger if there is a gap on data quality for further fulfillment.
Assure protection of the systems and data by performing at least one system back up.
Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained
Ensure that data entry work is implemented as planned and in line with Save the Children policies and procedures and meet the expected standards.
produce High quality, analytical reports and supply to SC program on regular basis
Other duties as assigned like IT related support for staffs.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

· Proven experience with current technologies, such as web-based data management and analysis tools, digital data collection, mapping, Google applications, data visualization, interactive dashboards, etc.
· Experience with ICT hardware, mobile phones and web-based technologies, particularly designing or deploying tools appropriate to limited-bandwidth or sub-standard infrastructure environments.
· Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children International’s aims, values and principles. Desirable
· Good analysis and report writing skills
· Experience working in arid and semi-arid land (ASAL) settings, refugee operations preferred.
· Experience in open source, mobile and emerging technology is extremely desirable.
· Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
· Experience in producing clear and simple reports, including charts & graphs, for end-users
· Experience of training and capacity building
· Some experience of representation and ability to represent the CPIMS users effectively in external forums.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related fields
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
EXPEREINCE:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in INGO’s and or UN Agencies in developmental or in humanitarian programs working for an international agency on management information systems development. Experience in Child Protection Information management system will be an added advantage.
· Proven experience of undertaking analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research using relevant software such as STATA or SPSS, or any other is an advantageous
