Abbahawa Trading PLC is one of the respected business entities established in 1959. In the early days Abbahawa was engaged in supplying coffee to domestic coffee trade. Later on, by the ambitious leadership of the third-generation shareholders, Abbahawa shifted its attention from domestic to Global market and started exporting the coffee being; one of the biggest coffee exporters in the nation for many years and now.

Currently, Abbahawa has a diversified business activities among which are the original endeavor of the coffee processing and export, with export destination of Europe, USA, Middle East and Japan, the One water Brand Bottled by Mogle Bottled Water Manufacturing of Abbahawa Trading at a capacity of 120,000 bottles per hour (BPH) being certified and implemented Integrated Management system Based on ISO 9001:2015 QMS and ISO FSSC 22000 Version 5.1.

Abbahawa has also a diversified supply chain with Zaki Preform, Cap and Polysheet Manufacturing, where the packaging of the One water brand is produced. This business unit is dedicated for production of PET preforms and Caps. Resting on a vast 50,000-meter square plot of land with built-up area of 21,000-meter square around Daletti area, Zaki produces high quality food-grade plastic packaging materials.

Furthermore, Abbahawa has Launched a giant Juice and Snack Manufacturing called Daletti Juice and Snack Manufacturing to supply to the local and the international Market. It spreads out on a 40,000-meter square area, the Juice and snack factory produces delicious juice and snack.

key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Managing Director organize, coordinate, lead and control working units under his/her supervision.

  • Ensures effective use of Corporate Resources across the company and its strategic Business Units (SBUs).

  • Develop corporate resource plan considering the production capacity of Machineries and equipment.

  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the company.

  • Provide strategic advice to the Managing Director and the top management, so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future

  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company.

  • Direct the working units (Corporate HRD, corporate Warehouse management, Corporate ICT service, corporate property management) to prepare operational plan, follow up the execution and evaluate the performance and take timely corrective actions (when required).

  • Undertakes gap assessment, coach and mentor subordinates to enhance their performance.  

  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations. 

  • Communicate and maintain trust worthy relationships with, business partners and government authorities

  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

  • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile

  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

  • Manage resources, including the attracting, hiring & retention of personnel, develops effective fixed asset policy and automates the property management system at all levels.

Job Requirements

Educational Requirement 

  • 2nd/1st Degree in Business Management, Business administration, Management or related field of study from Recognized University

Work Experience

  • 9/11 years of Relevant experience and out of which 5 years as the same position

Others Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience as Deputy Managing Director or other similar managerial position

  • A high level of business awareness and acumen.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans

  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company

  • understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance

  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.

  • Strong crisis management & conflict medication skills.
