Major Duties & Responsibilities

The Communication and Media Senior Expert is accountable to the Communication and Media Division Manager and he/she is responsible for:-

• Making sure that all the relevant stakeholders are kept informed of ECCSA’s developments.

• Implementing strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity through effective engagement with media and other interested parties to announce new developments and discuss organizational changes in a way that attempts to maintain a positive image of the chamber.

• Preparing speeches,  news,  press releases,  notices,  newsletters,  articles, magazines, press kits, and other content initiatives.

• Representing the Chamber in all media platforms including print, electronic and social media.

• Performing other duties assigned to him /her by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirement

Qualification: – MA/BA in communication & PR/ International relations/Foreign Languages/Literature/Journalism or any communication related fields

Experience: –  4/6 years of relevant experiences

Knowledge on:-

• Private sector and private sector related government policies;

• The Ethiopian Chamber system;

• The local business & investment opportunities and

Competencies/Personal attributes

• Demonstrating commitment to the  vision,  mission,  core  values,  aims  and principles of ECCSA;

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster trust and respect;

• Being self-motivated and highly organized;

• Being flexible and able to work well under pressure;

• Having ability to work with others as a team;

• Fluency in spoken & written English & Amharic knowledge of other local language are an asset
