Procurement managers, also known as purchasing managers, manage a company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain. They are responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.

• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.

• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.

• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.

• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.

Key Skills:

• Excellent communication skill, persuasive and  negotiation  abilities in person and in team,

• Excellent skill in writing and speaking of  English and Amharic languages is mandatory,

• Strong problem solving skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Confidentiality are very important

• Skill of leadership /to manage teams, Decision-making skill and able to maintain & lead in team spirit environment. .

• Ability to perform multiple tasks at once / simultaneously; ability to work under pressure maintaining  good working relationship

• Strong Computer operation of Microsoft – office package (word, Excel sheet, spreadsheet, Power point (PPT).database &...) are mandatory, and A good knowledge of IT packages.

• Cost awareness & resource optimization, time management, system principled works performance are necessary.

• Willing to take Practical test  and ready to pass through employment process of the company is needed

Job Requirements & Experience:

• BA Degree in Management, Logistic Mgt. and on other related social sciences field of studies and out of which  3 (three) years must be on similar supervisory or managerial position  from recognized business company

• Work experience from Business companies engaged on Technology and performs on timely base Service Level Agreement (SLA) is preferable.
