The Senior ICT officer is responsible to provide support for the computer-related needs of all departments and perform both manages and system administrator tasks of the company.  The primary role of senior ICT officer is to oversee and maintain all aspects of a company’s computer infrastructure. This includes maintaining networks, servers and security programs and systems. Senior ICT officer manage the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software, perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems, and assess viruses and potential threats to a company’s network. Senior ICT officer might also monitor the use of website, social media, and email, create and admin page keep the confidentiality, make suggestions for improvements to computer systems, backup data and perform data recovery if needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to other units on request.

• Performs periodic maintenance works on the computers of the organization.

• Files and properly handles dictates that are important for accomplishing his tasks.

• Stores and transfer data of different work units as requested.

• Controls and follow-up on the proper usage of each and every computer in the organization.

• Analyze, design, test, and evaluate network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, and other data communications systems.

• Supervises data entry operators engaged in inputting data into various storage media, manipulating existing data, editing data, and proofing new entries into database for accuracy.

• Interprets company policy to employees and enforces to practices ICT related issues.

• Analyzes and resolves ICT related work problems, or assists employees in solving IT related work problems.

• Consults with data processing and ICT related on ways to advance workflow and improve productivity.

• Confers with user departments to implement controls and schedules and resolve delivery ICT related problems.

• Responsible for data entry improvements in quality and efficiency and compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.

• Perform network modeling, analysis, planning and recommend up to date network and data communications hardware and software.

• Performs other related tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification 

• BSc degree in a computer science, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology or related field from Recognized University.

Work Experience

• At least four (4) years relative experience. 

Skills and behaviors

• Good knowledge in hardware installation, software, security and networking technology.

• Ability to manage and update the social media and website.

• Ability of strong knowledge of desktop support for Microsoft operating systems and applications and troubleshooting, TCP/IP and basic network concepts, and printing technologies (Laser, Thermal, Inkjet, etc.).

• Moderate understanding of routers, switches, and networking technology.
