Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management:
Work closely with the HSS Lead to develop of the CEC and A-IPEC project Implementation Plan and project work plans.
Support the HSS lead in developing the scheduling and sequencing of the planned activities in consultation with partners.
support the HSS lead in annual budget preparation for CEC and A-IPEC projects in quarterly and annual bases.
Closely work with the Zonal Program Advisors in relation to CEC project and provide support.
Coordinates with CEC project partners Hospitals and Zone health offices and play an active role in the development quarter action plans of the project activities.
Responsible the implementation of the cataract surgical outcome audit and cataract surgical outcome monitoring in the partners hospitals
Support the HSS lead the cataract surgery service provision maintained to reach the targets using statics, outreach, and camp approaches.
work closely with CEC project focal person and Insure the ORHB planned activities and five partner hospital implement on time.
Organize project monitoring visit in consultation of the HSS lead.
Identify project and program risks wherever they exist and flag on time for Health system strengthening lead for further action.
Prepare quality quarterly, annual and any other reports of projects and submit for HSS lead for review.
Program Quality Assurance:
Actively engage the project capacity building activities including providing training for partners staff and community members
Actively engage in the CSOM initiative and contribute.
Closely working also with M&E coordinator and project office to improve the project data accuracy, timely registration and lesson documentation
Accountable for development draft report and submission of timely high quality and analytical progress reports to the HSS lead
Maintain updated / analyzed program data for sharing and program learning.
Document and share innovation, best practices and/or case studies that demonstrate progress towards achieving project objectives through formal reports and relevant formal and/or informal platforms.
Partnership, Advocacy and Representation:
Work closely with ORHB NCD department and ORHB CEC focal person.
Network with CEC project partners involved in comprehensive eye care (cataract backlog reduction).
Build and maintain relationship with partners and stakeholders.
Participate in advocacy events in the absence of HSS lead provide technical support and input.
Represent HSS lead and FHF Ethiopia as needed.
Financial and Resource Management:
Support the HSS lead in preparation of annual financial budgets per zone and monitor expenditure against the plan.
Work with the HSS lead and grant coordinator to ensure proper accountability for donor funds.
Ensure that Zonal Program Advisors and partners submit timely monthly/or and quarterly financial returns.
Work with Procurement and Logistics officer to advance the procurement process and manage the distribution of medical equipment and supplies for the project partners.
Team Contribution:
Ensure effective communication and conflict resolution mechanisms that promotes teamwork performance.
Constructively contribute and collaborate with all colleagues, while strengthening intra and inter departmental collaboration for efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Minimum of 5 years working experience preferably with reputable NGOs.
experience of coordinating people, resources and approaches particularly on comprehensive eye care.
Experience of working in cataract intervention, particularly implementation cataract surgical Outcome monitors and cataract surgical Audit.
Knowledge of recent national health policy issues.
Proven ability to deal with regional and zonal stakeholders.
