·          Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations

·         Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with federal regulations

·         Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk.

·         Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved

·         Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability

·         Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal staff and make recommendations for improvement

·          Present findings to upper management in the form of reports and presentations

·         Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process

·         Maintain open communication with management and audit committee

·         Checking payments /petty cash, bank cheque payments and other related tasks

·         Performing assignments given by department or by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

·         BSc degree in Accounting, Economics, Agricultural economics, Agri-business,  Finance or other related field of study 

·         At least five (5) years of experience and Agricultural auditing experience is added  advantages

Skills Required 

·          proven working experience as Internal Auditor 

·         Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

·         Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

·         Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations

·         High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

·         Sound independent judgment

·         Be adaptable and able to meet deadline

·         Fluency in Afan Oromo,English and Amharic is essential
