Purpose:

• Manage NTE local tax compliance requirements on time with professional manner. Ensure all Tax returns properly computed and filed to the tax authority within the time line. Follow up tax related new developments and communicate to the relevant departments on a timely manner.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Actively follow up on transaction which has a tax implication, Perform Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet tax accounts and provide reconciliation report and if any findings to the tax manager for review and action.

• Perform all tax calculations and filings to ensure the accuracy and timely submission of all needed documents. Prepare timely all tax returns Monthly, annually and other in accordance to Ethiopian Tax law and provision. Provide for review and approval to the Tax  manager highlighting findings and tax gaps noted during tax return preparation and review.

• Upload tax filling on E-tax system, follow up and collect tax payment instructions from finance and treasury, and pay the tax payments to the tax authority on a timely manner. Upload sales and purchase information in the tax authority database on a  monthly basis on a timely manner.

• Support the tax manager in the preparation of Tax packs, Tobacco taxation report, Tax provision calculation, Deferred tax computation and other reports emanate from group entity and local tax compliance perspective.

• Support the tax manager in the tax audits and its resolutions. Follow up cases at the tax authority, Investment commission and customs commission in light of the request of the Tax manager.

• Prepare on demand bases information request from the tax authority and other in a timely manner.

• Manage other tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request. 

Job Requirements

Education:

• BA Degree.

Required Skills:

• Local Tax Knowledge, professional English communications skill and MS confident user. 

Work Experience:

• Minimum of  3 Years of relevant experience in relevant field.
