Purpose:

• Under supervision of the immediate supervisor, drives trucks with trailers, observes safety standards and traffic rules strictly, handles the truck properly according to enterprise rules and procedures.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Drives trucks with trailers adhering to traffic rules and ensures safe driving all the time.

• Transports goods and tobacco Leaf from place to place as instructed.

• Checks oil, fuel, water levels, Tyre etc. and ascertains that everything is in order prior to operating the truck

• Ascertain that truck is functioning properly while driving and report immediately to the supervisor any malfunctioning, breakdown or accidents. In case of accidents take measures according to company policy and procedures.

• Submit daily reports on Kilometers travelled, fuel consumed, travel destinations as per the instructions given

• Keeps custody of local tools and accessories necessary for changing tyres or making minor defects

• Performs other related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Education:

• 5th grade driving license and 10th grade completed.

Work Experience:

• 6 years of proven work experience in driving.

Knowledge:

• knowledge of Collective Labor Agreement, Internal Regulations and Safety Policy of the company.
