Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) that aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major programs; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and Lobby & advocacy. DEC works in five National Regional States of Amhara, Afar, Gambela, Oromia Benishangul, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following position: Woreda Community Mobilizer

Job Description 

• The Community mobilizer will establish and maintain close working relationships with communities and community organizations.

•  Ensure that all activities related to Protection and  Emergency Management implementation in the targeted woredas are coordinated and harmonized.

•  Ensure DEC safeguarding policies are implemented at all levels in its project site;

•  Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of the community in all target rea .

• Support the collection and documentation the n of the impact

• Facilitating technical training and workshops related to the project

• Closely work with Partners and different stakeholders 

Required Number: Woreda Community Mobilizer Afar /serdo 1 and Hruka 1 

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Diploma in education/social work and related fields 

Additional  Skills

• Ability to work on the area of emergency setting at preferred time including out-of-working hours.

• Ability in best practice capturing and working with communities

• Excellent written and verbal communication in both local and English languages.

• Willing to work in the harsh area including on the weekend and evening
