Job Description
Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) that aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major programs; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and Lobby & advocacy. DEC works in five National Regional States of Amhara, Afar, Gambela, Oromia Benishangul, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following position: Community Mobilizer
Job Summary
The Community mobilizer provides overall technical, organizational support and plays mobilization role in communities she/he is assigned, including technology and best practices, awareness creation and linkages and behavioral change through education, information and communication. She/he Mobilizes and encourages active participation of and networking between individuals and communities in recognizing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing project activities related to the identified solutions. Establishes and maintains close working relationships with communities and community organizations.
Specific Responsibilities
Support community mobilization to increase understanding of protection needs and encourage community members to report protection concerns.
Build a relationship with key stakeholders in the targeted camps in order to get buy-in and support for the project activities Facilitate implementation of project activities and monitoring
Technical Support and Facilitation
Facilitate the establishment of steering committees for beneficiary targeting and verification
Provide relevant training and aweareness to IDPs specific to age and gender in the target Camp/villages.
Support and Sensitize the IDP on child rights, child protection, GenderGender-Basednce,
Carry out Camp Committee intervention for the IDPs as well as to the households in the target villages
Organize meeting with Camp Management Committee, and other relevant persons for project interventions.
Carry out Protection Case Management (CM) and ensure all the Case Forms are updated and shared with the supervisor, and are prioritized for immediate response
Duty station; Jara /Woldia Debrebrehan
Duration: 10 Month

Qualification and Experience
BA in Social work ,Sociology and related field with equivalent of minimum 2 years experience of experience in a similar position Qualified Female applicants Who fulfill the requirement appreciated
