Job Description
Quality Project implementation, Monitoring and Reporting
Lead efficient implementation of She Leads, Break Free and TACLE projects
Lead the development of annual work plans and specific detailed plans.
Lead quality and timely reporting and documentation of project activities including preparation of periodical project progress reports in line with donor’s guidelines.
Conduct regular visits to the project sites and lead joint supervision activities with relevant stakeholder to ensure quality service delivery
Lead effective project budget management and ensure all the projects have accurate budget phasing in the system
Facilitate and lead lobby and advocacy activities of the projects at all levels.
Integrate and closely collaborate with linking and learning activities of PIE Child Protection and SRH projects and also alliances that have been initiated by Netherlands Embassy.
Ensure the technical soundness, appropriateness and general quality in all aspects of the project cycle.
Ensure the mainstreaming of Gender and Child Protection in the program areas.
Collect, record, document and share best practices of the projects for further learning and development and improvement.
Work with MERL team to ensure relevant and quality project results and data are collected, analysed, uploaded on PIMERL system and disseminated to support evidence-based project intervention.
Facilitate midterm and final evaluation of the project together with the active participation of the concerned partners.
Provide strategic oversight of project milestones development, baseline survey, periodic monitoring, midterm evaluation, final evaluation and close out of the project in close collaboration with the various stakeholders.
Networking and partnership
Lead capacity strengthening, joint communication and advocacy with other consortium partners and consortium lead.
·Work closely with networks particularly girls and young women movements, SRHR networks and gender equality networks in the context of joint advocacy initiatives.
Work in close collaboration with alliance members.
Ensure complementarity of the consortium members’ interventions towards a common goal of the projects
Facilitate and support studies in collaboration with consortium members and research partners.
Represent PIE in different networks, meetings, workshops, forums and trainings with GOs and NGOs at all levels.
Establish links and good relationships with relevant government stakeholders at all levels.
Child Protection and Gender Equality Responsibilities
Ensures that the implementation of the projects is as per the required and expected standards on child protection and gender equality.
Ensure equal participation and benefit of adolescent boys and girls and children with disabilities in all phases of project implementation.

Technical expertise, skills and knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Social work.
Minimum 7 years plus relevant experience and of which at least 3 years in managerial position with NGOs in leading programs/ projects or demonstrated equivalent combination. Depth and breadth of knowledge of Plan’s global and national strategies and policies. Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise.
Demonstrated experience of working on child protection, gender equality, HTPs, civil society development, lobby and advocacy, behavioural change and communications
Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of working with the Federal, regional and local government sectors.
Experience with a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including from policy-makers and senior management to local government and CSOs, as well as community leaders and beneficiaries.
Experience in managing or participation in consortium, alliances and networks
Experience conducting joint supportive supervision with key stakeholders.
Desirable
Extensive knowledge of gender equality, child protection, lobby and advocacy, civil society development, government policies, legal frameworks ad strategies.
In-depth knowledge of project cycle management and child centred community development programming
Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development
Knowledge of effective participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Research systems and processes
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with colleagues.
Gender analysis and gender mainstreaming skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation
Strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications
