Job Description
Roles:
Under the supervision of the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary General for membership affairs and Communication is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling of here core departments:
membership development & membership services,
research and project, and
media and corporate communication in a unifying and interlinked manner.
The ideal candidate is one with a strong background in communications, innovative and strategic marketing tools, hands-on experience-based skills in project/program development coupled with stewardship ability to easily identify research areas for private sector development.
Education: BA/ /MA/M.SC degree holder from recognized Higher learning institutions in Management, business Administration, Media and Communication, Journalism, Accounting and Finance, Economics and related fields of studies
Work Experience: Must have a minimum of 12/10 years of work experience for BA and Master degree holders respectively out of which at least 10-year experience for BA holders and 8 Year work experience for Master degree holders in executive/top managerial position
TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS
Strong and technical proficiency and hands on experience in leading trams, writing papers, conducting researches and develop project proposals
Ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to successfully implement the Chamber’s strategic plan;
Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels;
Good conceptual understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development;
Ability to network and create partnership with others;
Firm belief in teamwork and gender equality;
Basic computer skills;
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Media management skills
