Roles:

• MCP quality officer is responsible for first level testing of milk and ensuring that the milk is stored in a manner that is safe and avoid spillage or spoilage.

• He/she should be able to demonstrate competence in clean milk production, hygienic milk handling and ensure milk safety.

• Ensure Milk Collection Point is functioning efficiently and effectively

• Identify training needs for a milk producer and Communicate with the Dairy development team for Planning and conducting training.

• Ensuring the Cooling tank and Other Utility Equipment are working properly.

• Ensure adequate and proper testing reagent, cleaning, and sanitation detergent, alkaline, and Fuel are in place.

•  The person should ensure operational transparency and organize meetings with the producer to address their grievances.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Dairy technology, Applied Chemistry, chemical engineering food stream and Industrial laboratory, have a proven experience in milk quality control testing and collection.

• The individual must possess reading, writing and communication skills both Oromifa and Amharic, speaking English is an asset.

• Experience minimum 2 years work experience in Milk quality control and collection.

• Strong work ethic, willing to work long hours during busy season

• 1Integrity and a positive attitude.  

• Passionate about serving smallholder farmers.

• Have Basic Computer skill (MS office word, Excel and Power point)
