Purpose

We are looking for a motivated Software Developer Intern to join our team. You will gain practical experience working on the biggest open-source and in-house developed platforms as a software engineer intern to enhance user experience. Additionally, you'll have the chance to collaborate with senior programmers and learn crucial skills for designing scalable, high-performance software platforms. The intern will technically report to Digital learning officer, and work in collaboration with Amref Digitization and program staffs.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibility of the intern developer is to collaborate with Amref digitalization team and program staffs on implementing the given task which includes but not limited to:

• Developing applications

• Debugging, testing, and deploying code (CI/CD)

• Documenting and testing new software applications

• Researching, investigating and fixing a wide range of technical issues

• Collaborating with senior teams

• Approaching problems and creating solutions

• Proactively learning about new technologies

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in software engineering, computer science, or any related field of study

• Zero+ years of work experience

• Experience with various programming languages mainly Python, PHP, JavaScript, and Java.

• Experience with various frameworks mainly Django, Node, Laravel, Popular JavaScript Frameworks (I.e., Svelte, React, Vue, Nextjs, TypeScript, etc.), Mobile app development frameworks (I.e., Flutter, React Native, Android Java, Kotlin, etc.), and Node.

• Experience with various database mainly Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and SQLite.

• Having real world experience is a plus
