Security Guard - Action Against Hunger

The Security Guard role’s purpose, engagement, and delivery are:

Purpose (The substantive focus of the job encompassing scope, depth, and difficulty of work both conceptual and applied)

Watch over the security of the equipment;

Ensure integrity of the premise and material at any moment;

Help transport material when charging and discharging;

Help with repairs and construction jobs on the premises;

Watch over the security of the premises: enclosures, gate, etc.

Engagement: (The focus of interaction both internally and externally needed to deliver a service seek collaboration and build effective partnerships)

Screen and organize entries and exits, and movements of people inside and outside the building day and night;

Check the identity of visitors and inform the concerned department of their arrival;

Register all movements of visitors and ACF vehicles;

Control the crowd if necessary.

Delivery: (The focus on the execution of the work and the role of the team for supporting business/operational functions in terms of timeliness and quality)

Report immediately any disruptions or problems;

Report immediately any major event.

I Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods and to concentrate on work, including typing, and turn out heavy volumes of work accurately, within short time frames under stressful situations in the context of a moderately noisy office with many interruptions. Must be able to proofread own work accurately so that only minor corrections are needed on an infrequent basis.

Working Conditions, Travel, and Environment

The duties of the job require regular job attendance at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.

Job Requirements 

Required Qualifications and Professional Experience

10th-grade completion and above. A diploma and certificate in any field of study is advantageous.

2 years experience in a related field is mandatory. Experience in an NGO is advantageous.

 Required Skills & Competencies: Good physical condition – Capable of showing authority.
