Job Description
BACKGROUND
Kurmuk Gold Mine Plc (KGM) is a subsidiary of Allied Gold Corp which is a global company with offices in Dubai, UAE and Perth, Australia and has different mine projects in Mali, cote d'ivoire as well as Ethiopia. KGM is the Ethiopian project with a Large-Scale Gold Mining License and three contiguous Exploration Licenses. All licenses are located in western Ethiopia approximately 750 km from Addis Ababa, or about 90 km north-west of Assosa town in Benishangul Gumuze Regional State.
KGM has been using foreign consultants and local professional support staff to carry out all the exploration and mining activities. The company currently has created job opportunity for more than 200 Ethiopians and expects to employ 1,500 people during the construction and operation of the mining activities.

Job Title: - Senior Warehouse Supervisor
Deadline for Application: March 15th, 2023.
Brief outline of duties:
Warehouse supervisor oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse.
2.1 Main duties and responsibilities
• Managing the warehouse in line with the company’s standards.
• Complying with the company’s policies and vision.
• Overseeing basic operations, such as receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance of products.
• Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency.
• Safeguards warehouse operations by complying with extensive security procedures and protocols.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation laws and requirements.
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
• Take charge of stock control & regularly update the data storage system.
• Prepare annual budget.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
• Organize notes, assign roles, and oversee warehouse employees.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided and other related activities.
2.3 General
2.3.1 Work Experience 5+ years warehouse management experience in mining or manufacturing companies.
2.3.2 Terms of Employment: Permanent after probation period.
2.3.3 Salary: Negotiable & Attractive (Industry related & adequately compensated for the location).
Duty Station: - Benshangul Gumuz, Asosa Zone, Kurmuk Woreda Project Site - Fly In/Fly out roster (6/2weeks)

2.2 Qualification/Requirement
2.2.1 Education: - BSc Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (Technical knowledge preferable)
2.2.2 Skill
• Proficient computer skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Has driving license.
