Job Description

DMC Construction Plc is a first class General Contractor (GC-1) chartered in Ethiopia to provide services in civil work projects, mainly road construction and maintenance, building construction and maintenance, water works, airfield construction, water works construction, etc. Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of Store Keeper and we are looking for passionate, capable, and competent candidates who are prepared to work with passion and focus.

Duties

  • Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.

  • Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels.

  • Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom.

  • Operational experience gained within a fast-paced environment with both warehouse and transport operation.

  • High energy, focused leader with the ability to drive through change.

  • Able to ensure all processes are geared towards achieving Company strategy.

  • Able to challenge accepted norms and practices and facilitate innovative solutions to problems.

  • Highly developed people skills, strong communicator at all levels, ability to bring people on a journey.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize long-term projects whilst meeting short-term demands.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines.

  • Manages and exceeds internal and external customer expectations.

  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation and its impact on operations.

  • Robust understanding/knowledge of logistics and warehousing methods and techniques.

  • Experience of system implementation and process improvement would be highly advantageous.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in purchasing and supplies management, Logistics Management or related field from an accredited college or university.

  • 2+ years of experience as a storekeeper.

  • Punctual, self-disciplined, loyal & trustworthy always

  • Excellent computer skills required with proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and other related software’s.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and possess strong time-management skills.

  • Ability to communicate with members of the organization at all levels.
