International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL opened its door for service in 2004 with the aim of “contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia” by encompassing a system of human and physical resources designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of the population it serves.

 It is the only laboratory accredited by the USA-based Joint Commission International (JCI) five times in a row. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.

 ICL would like to fill the following vacant positions under the Customer Service Section by inviting all qualified and competent applicants:

Summary of job profile

 Our Company, ICL is looking for a Senior Accountant to take charge of the financial health of our company by administering the reporting and analysis functions under the supervision of the finance director / operation manager.

 The Candidate should be familiar with audits, interpretation of financial statements. Our ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations and closing books of accounts. He or she should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle timely-sensitive tasks.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of records and documentation for all daily transactions.

• Update internal systems with financial data.

• Pass necessary journal entries.

• Reconcile bank statements.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports on time.

• Handle financial audits.

• Implement financial policies of the company.

• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by his immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

• BA Degree in Accounting or Finance from reputable University or College.

• A proven 6 to 8 years of work experience as a Finance Officer/Senior Accountant or similar role after graduation.

• A solid and proven knowledge of Oracle financial software and know-how of IFRS.

• Advanced MS Excel skills.

• Knowledge of financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.

• ACCA Part Qualification is considered a plus
