Job Summary

The Brand Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the marketing strategy for the assigned Brand. Some of the duties may include market research, pricing, product marketing, communications, consumer insights, and packaging development. The Brand Manager ensures the organization’s message spreads across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives. He is also responsible for the development and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns of the Brand.

Key Functions

• Gather and understand consumer insight, Market dynamics and competitive scene

• Work on crafting brand positioning, brand strategy and yearly objectives along with Marketing Manager

• Develop yearly Marketing activity plan and ensuring its proper market execution

• Monitor Pricing and Margin on regular basis to ensure meeting the set targets

• Generate consumer insight and drive NPD development from idea to market launch

• Liaison with other functions- particularly with sales, supply, R&D, and finance for successful and financially viable execution of new products and marketing programs

• Highly developed written, verbal and presentation & interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and colleagues

• Passionate about work with a can-do attitude

• Excellent in Project execution and follow up to deliver best in class project on time

• Negotiation skills to ensure delivery of projects and activities within set budget

• A team player capable of working cross-functionally in a collaborative manner

• Relevant work experience would include significant exposure to emerging/developing markets

Education Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent certification in Business, Marketing, Retail, or related fields

Experience

• 3+ years of marketing experience as Marketing at Brand Manager level in a relevant field.

Reports to Marketing Manager/Director

Location Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
