2.      Purpose of the Job: 

Under the general direction and supervision of the SALES & KEY ACCOUNTS DIVISION HEAD, SENIOR SALSE OFFICER is responsible for generating new sales clients through prospecting, leveraging sales network connections, and building trust to maintain customer relationships and also be responsible for daily sales communications with clients to ensure their sales needs and expectations are being met, as well as continuously develop new sales strategies to increase sales client base.

  • REPORTS TO:   SALES & KEY ACCOUNTS DIVISION HAED

  • DIRECT REPORTS:  SALES OFFICER, JUNIOR SALES OFFICER

3.     DETAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop sales client’s network and secure new sales business opportunities.

  • Identify new sales clients and develop sales tailor-made solutions for each of them

  • Maximize sales capacity of current customer base.

  • Maintain close relationships with sales clients and create a field for long-term and successful collaboration.

  • Analyse client needs and constantly follow their sales share in order to target potential opportunities for sales business growth.

  • Develop sales plan for retaining customers through various activities including meetings, phone calls, and social gatherings.

  • Quote and negotiate sales prices and credit terms.

  • Prepare sales contracts and sales record orders.

  • Develop a sales strategy which will lead to successful sales revenue growth.

  • Develop new selling strategies in line with new trends on market and specific needs of customers.

  • Monitor competition and recommend new solutions for the improvement of sales service.

  • Win, retain and develop medium-sized Business Customers through sales "hunting" activity, correctly assessing the account as Profitable, Significant or Strategic in order to secure winning bids.

  • Maximize sales growth from existing customers through the development of new sales, service/product marketing, and customer support strategies; and achieving specific volume growth targets in the assigned area(s) of the business.

  • Build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer’s business and the market and support customer retention through collaboration with all resources including our Service/Product teams, Managers, other sales channels, and local Station Management.

  • Engage in organizing and supporting customer workshops intended to share information across diverse subjects such as Import brokerage compliance regulations, new product offerings, and other training intended to benefit the client.

  • Use networks within the various Sales channels within AHUNUNU to collaborate on customers, marketing strategies and offers a full supply chain of services to service customer needs.

  • Collect relevant customer information and prepare documents for customer implementation in order to ensure proper Sales operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations.

Qualification and Experience:

  • MBA in Marketing, Management, Economics,  Business Administration, or related fields with four (4) years of demonstrated experience

  • OR Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Economics,  Business Administration, or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience

  • OR Advanced Diploma in Marketing,  Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields with ten (10) years of demonstrated experience
