Job Description
Palladium is seeking a Senior Operations Assistant (SOA) to provide administrative, operational, and business development support to existing Palladium projects and for anticipated USAID projects that aim to support Ethiopia’s health and economic growth sectors. This position will work closely with current Palladium projects in Ethiopia to provide broad high-level administrative management and support activities and provide and utilize their expertise in finance, procurement, logistics, and human resources, amongst other activities. This role will also provide support to international business development activities for opportunities based in Ethiopia and the region and will coordinate with headquarters and strategic growth teams to support various capture and scoping activities.
This position will be based in Addis Ababa.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead orientation and coordination activities with Palladium CDs/Deputies and DFOs to support compliance with Palladium coursework, policies, and other company-wide activities
Coordinate communication across projects on behalf of Palladium HQ
Manage and secure visa and hotel arrangements for international travel
Support transportation arrangements for local travel of project and business development teams
Lead Palladium business development local information collection activities in Ethiopia and support cost and administrative activities related to business development operations, technical procurements, and administrative intel with proposal/capture teams
Support local Palladium human resources (HR) needs, including organizing staff and resources needed to support operations and business development
Oversee Palladium business development communications needs, including placement of local ads, managing interviews, and collecting required documents
Work in collaboration with regional teams such as in Kenya, to strengthen overall regional team operational implementation and administration
Other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
University graduate
Experience managing finance, procurement, logistics, safety and security, and/or human resource-related matters for international development activities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and ability to interact with a variety of technical, clinical, and other specialists.
Strong online systems and database skills
