Duration of contract: Indefinite based on performance and availability of funds.

Remuneration: As per organization pay scale plus other PSI/Ethiopia staff benefits.

We are looking for a dynamic, quick learner, organized, a capable writer, analytical, and creative facilitator Program Coordinator, reporting to Program Director, WASH, who will facilitate program management and coordination needs of the WASH department, including the USAID Transform WASH project. The incumbent will pro-actively support WASH program implementation by coordinating, compiling, timely quality reports, documenting results, liaising with partners and organizing key events.   The Program Coordinator will enthusiastically ensure smooth and timely flow of work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate periodic program reporting and work planning inputs from the PSI team and partner organizations;

  • Compile and prepare quarterly and annual reports for submission to donors and GoE;

  • Work  across  departments  to  produce  monthly  update  reports,  disseminate  lessons  learned  to implementing partners and the PSI team in the regions; synthesize information (from DHIS2 and other platforms) and package to help the WASH director and head office management prepare for meetings and presentations;

  • Follow up with the team to ensure that WASH programs are implemented according to originally set time frames using Asana and Smartsheet as program management tools;

  • Coordinate lesson learned from monitoring and evaluation of WASH programs and support sharing of best practices in collaboration with consortium partners;

  • Identify, research and develop stories, articles, blogs and news, as requested and coordinated with the communication and partnership advisor, for program knowledge sharing;

  • Liaise  with  GoE  partners  (national  and  regional  level)  to  maintain  productive,  positive  working relationships, process agreements and ensure quality reports are submitted on time;

  • Plan and execute  key  events:  regular  meetings,  trainings  and  workshops,  documentation  and reporting and to ensure follow up on action points by respective team members.

Job Requirements

Background

  • BA in literature, journalism, social sciences, or related field

  • 4 years of relevant work experience
