About Roha Medical Campus
Roha Medical Campus PLC is building an integrated health campus in Addis Ababa. When complete, it will provide world-class, high-quality, affordable healthcare across multiple hospitals and facilities. The campus will include a medical school and facilities for research and innovation. It will be set in a lush, green setting, built to the highest sustainability standards, and with a beautiful urban park open to the public. Development of the campus has begun and the first hospital is already under construction.
Location: This role is based in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
Timing: March 2023
Remuneration: Salary is competitive and will depend on applicant’s background and experience.
About the role
Roha is seeking a Liaison Officer to support the successful development of the Roha Medical Campus in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Serve as the primary organizational contact between Roha and government agencies including but not limited to permit office, utilities, customs, investment authority, planning office, woreda, sub city, city administration.
Develop and foster relationships with various project stakeholders.
Compile reports about specific incidents, events and updates on important issues.
Understand the organizational structure well and refer matters that need the intervention of specific departments.
Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that could occur between Roha and other stakeholders.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the company and represent the Company in a positive way.
Assist and communicate with senior leadership in decision-making.
Maintaining ethical standards inline with local, international and Company policies.
Manage and coordinate relationships with suppliers both internally and externally.
Take on other tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure the overall company success.
About the candidate
Successful applicants have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, think at a superior intellectual level, are flexible and imaginative, are high-energy, persistent, self-starters, are good communicators in writing and verbally, and will preferably have a proven track record of delivering on complex projects in challenging environments. Applicants could demonstrate this by having:
Bachelors degree in any relevant field.
At least 3-5 years relevant experience is a must.
Experience working in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
Strong ability to negotiate and influence people.
Experience in local import operations is a distint advantage.
Experience in dealing with government agencies especially permit office, power, and water utilities.
Experience on a large construction project is a must
Experience in healthcare projects or operations is a plus.
Excellent and effective communicator, both oral and written, with internal and external stakeholders.
English and Amharic fluency is a must.
Experience working in Ethiopia is a must.
