Accountants review and analyse financial statements, budgets, financial reports, and business plans in order to check for irregularities resulting from error or fraud, and provide their clients with financial advice in matters such as financial forecasting and risk analysis. They may audit financial data, resolve insolvency cases, prepare tax returns and provide other tax-related advice in reference to current legislation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Accounting, Accounting & Finance degree from a well-recognized university or college 

• 3-5 years’ work experience as Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant in 4* or 5*  hotel

• Computer knowledge and experience in Hotel Opera software, MC, SUN and MS office programs is mandatory.

• Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills required.

• Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.

• Performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.

• Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger-impacted processes, including support to clients as they work with and understand these processes.

• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data.

• Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.

• Balances credit card ledgers.

• Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected, and/or accrued.
