Job Description
Purpose of the position: The position holder is responsible for planning, controlling, and ordering food and beverages and must comply with food safety regulations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Managing food and beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards;
Leading F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel;
Periodically review menu prices to ensure prices are fair enough for the company to earn adequate profit margins;
Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns;
Overseeing the deliveries of items by suppliers is as per the order and it is on time;
Provides analysis of F&B consumption to handle the ordering as exact as possible;
Understand the internal/external customer and meet the needs of both and the company;
Ensure that all guests’ requests are responded to promptly and effectively and exceptional service is delivered at all times;
Monitor the quality and consistency of all food served from the Kitchen;
Ensure the restaurant areas, dining tables or serving counters are clean and well presented at all times;
Design exceptional menus and continuously make necessary improvements as required;
Forecasting, planning, sourcing, and ordering food supplies for the kitchen, as well as beverages to stock the bar and fridges;
Creating and enforcing restaurant policies, procedures, targets, and KPIs;
Building positive relationships with food and beverage vendors;
Take meal orders, explain menu items and serve food and beverage items to guests’ tables and follow hygienic food practices at all times;
Ensure the F & B departmental schedules and checklists are completed according to requirements;
Assist with maintaining and improving departmental operating standards;
Handle other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor;
Requirements
Academic qualification
BA in Hotel Management or related fields;
Additional qualifications
Ability to work well in a team and motivate to sustain exceptional levels of performance;
Ability to work flexible hours as hotel business changes;
Ability to determine the consumption needs of a business' customers;
High standard of personal presentation;
Ability to interact with people at all levels;
Guest-oriented and service-minded
Years of experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a comparable position,
Salary: Negotiable
