Job Description

The Role Summary:

Provide support of all shareholder transactions to manage the financial and information transactions of shareholders with a view to ensure that the rights of shareholders are protected and enhance the company image and increase shareholder value. This position will be responsible for assisting the Legal & corporate communications manager with investor relations strategies and investor presentations and will maintain the department SHMS (shareholders management system) and distribution lists.

Result Areas and Responsibilities:

Systematize and improve shareholder transaction-related processes and procedures

  • Design a share administration manual in accordance with the current best practices and the relevant law. 

  • Design a strategy to fast-track share transfer processes.

  • Create an effective and efficient workflow for the recording of shareholder financial transactions.

  • Devise and execute an action plan for the establishment of an internal share market.

Liaise with governmental institutions

  • Provide shareholder-related company information to concerned governmental institutions as required by the commercial code of Ethiopia and other relevant laws. 

  • Create good working relations with governmental institutions which have regulatory power on share companies, or which are empowered to approve shareholder transactions.

Execute Shareholder relation programs

  • Collaborate and make recommendations in executing the shareholder's relations program, including strategy, operating plan, and budget

Report to management 

  • Tracking shareholders' perceptions and queries on a regular basis and conveying the same to the Management and resolving any discrimination if they arise.

  • Provide support with ongoing information to the management regarding the establishment of the stock market and the required changes which need to be made by the company.

Improve Shareholders relations 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the company’s shareholders.

  • Manage the quarterly earnings process and preparation, schedule, and external resources. 

  • Support the Legal & Corporate Communications Manager in building long-term rapport with investors and analysts and keeps shareholders knowledgeable about the company.

Job Requirements

The Person

This role is positioned at the managerial level who will have the opportunity to develop their career further within very progressive learning and development as well as a dynamic and exciting work atmosphere.

BA Degree with 7 + years of experience, ideally 3 years of experience in leading relevant operations.
