BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsible for the repair and maintenance of furniture upholstery as well as other wooden works. Also responsible for the manufacturing and installation of wooden items.

Job Requirements

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications. Applicants without the below-listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool. 

EDUCATION: Diploma in Carpentry from a recognized Technical College or Technical School 

EXPERIENCE:  A Minimum of three years work experience in carpentry. 

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: ‘C’ grade in English language in E.S.L.C.E. other languages are advantageous.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·         Complete knowledge of all wooden works.

·         Ability to apply professional approach to manufacturing, maintenance and operational wooden works.

·         Ability to ensure that the existing planned preventive maintenance programs is executed smoothly.

·         Ability to develop improved working procedures in woodwork.

·         Ability to work with minimum supervision & handle multiple assignments.

·         Sound knowledge of other technical disciplines, which interface with Carpentry: Upholstery, Painting & Masonry.
