Beka food manufacturing is a grand facility dedicated to serve the coffee lovers and create delight with freshly baked biscuits in its Yerer factory in Addis Ababa.

Beka coffee uses uniquely picked Ethiopian coffee, roast and grounded at the level of delightful precision. We are looking for Sales and marketing manager who can lead the marketing of our coffee and biscuits team.

Job Description

Beka food manufacturing is an established coffee roasting and biscuit factory at Yerer area, Bole Sub City, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We are looking for organized sales and marketing manager fit the position. 

Scope and General Purpose: The sales and marketing manager is responsible for planning, organizing and leading the activities of sales and marketing. The manager will propose and implement strategies to increase the sales volume and the market share of Coffee, Biscuit and other products of the company. He/she will closely follow the marketing principles and maintain good customer relation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop appropriate marketing strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Undertaking  marketing research, sales promotion, export and local sales

  • Explore foreign markets for products; negotiate for sales and delivery of products with in authorized limits.

  • Study and evaluate channels of sales distribution

  • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.

  • Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports.

  • Implementing new sales plans and advertising.

  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing marketing and sales teams to meet sales and marketing human resource objectives.

  • Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.

  • Carry out sales analysis of competitive trends and potentials, customer needs and preferences; converts data to sales projections and data for planning

  • Find out  new market targets and areas, distribution systems; direct marketing, testing and provide information for decision making purposes

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records, documents and information of marketing information are maintained

  • Evaluate price structures and terms of sales of products and presuppose changes in pricing and terms of sales to meet customer’s needs, economic condition, demand trends and competitive stand; propose prices of new products;

  • Driving social media marketing. Ensure visibility, consistency, relevance and updated contents on social media.

  • Continuously monitories competitive products and new entrants into the market in order to improve the market share of the Beka products.

  • Follow up continuously the major causes of customer complaints and suggests appropriate corrective 

  • Supervise, support and develop coffee and biscuit retail shops for smooth and effective operation  

  • Closely following up networking event, conference, exhibition, and other related opportunity to understand the development and create business opportunities. Especially those related biscuit, cupping and coffee festivals.

  • Establish and maintain good business and customer relationships with our existing customers

  • Establishing and following  up Agents with in local and international aspects

  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Qualification Requirement:

  • BA degree or MSC in business (Marketing ) and other related fields

  • 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing 

  • Experience in coffee and biscuit sectors

  • Experience in management may be advantageous.

  • Experience in international marketing/ import export experience.  

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
