On behalf of Ethiopost, The Talent Firm is recruiting for the position of Legal Expert IV.

Ethiopost is a large company which operates in its 700 branches delivering all services to everyone at an affordable price. It has over 2300 employees and deliver items to over 120 destinations all over the Country through their branches and managing to process and transport close to 10 million mail items annually timely and safely.

Responsibilities

• To pre-correct the contract that the organization has with any other parties; giving feedback; investigate whether there is a gap in the law and provide sufficient resources when requested.

• Regularly provide proper and standard legal advice for the organization

• Monitoring the implementation of laws, guidelines and regulations issued at the country level and institution level by the organization and providing the necessary professional assistance when required.

• When the company negotiates contracts with individuals and organizations in the country or abroad, checking the contract and providing legal advice to protect the interests of the company and to make the contract acceptable in the eyes of the law.

• Investigate the case in a manner that focuses on the appropriate legal framework for the issues in which the organization is the plaintiff, suggest alternatives, explain, and facilitate the situation in which the case can be resolved in a manner that considers the feasibility.

• Prepare appropriate responses to allegations against the organization.

• Appearing and defending in Court, Arbitration tribunals and any justice offices on behalf of the company, and conducting legal monitoring and reporting the final decision.

• Providing explanations and advice for work related legal issues raised by the company's officials and employee

• By examining the links and gaps between the laws and regulations of the organization and the laws and regulations of the country, presenting suggestions for improvement.

• Undertake legal researches, investigations and examinations of documents when required

• Draft and review documents

• Undertakes any other works to be given by department head 

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Law.

Experience: 

• Minimum of 6 years' of relevant experience

Technical skills:

• Good Knowledge of Ethiopia’s law and practice, must be efficient and have the ability to multi-task with an assertive, independent, and can-do attitude, Proactively solves problems and makes decisions, sharp strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a variety of internal and external scenarios and contexts and excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
