Job Title: Supply Chain Lead

Location: Addis Ababa

Our client, a fast-growing manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Supply Chain Lead to join their team. As the Supply Chain Lead, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain activities, from local and foreign procurement to primary distribution of finished goods. You will ensure the efficient production of goods by coordinating the timely delivery and inventory of raw materials and finished products, handling local and international suppliers, and monitoring supplier performance. You will be responsible for documenting physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, lead times, and system flow, and collaborating with other departments to identify and close operational gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end supply chain activities, including local and foreign procurement, transportation, inventory management, and primary distribution of finished goods

• Coordinate the timely delivery and inventory of raw materials and finished products to ensure efficient production

• Handle local and international suppliers and monitor supplier performance to assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements

• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, lead times, and system flow

• Collaborate with other departments to identify and close operational gaps

• Negotiate goods and service prices and terms with different vendors and freight forwarding companies

• Manage the planning of raw materials as per production and sales forecast

• Manage the SC sourcing coordinator and warehouse coordinator

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency and minimize costs

• Maintain and analyze supply chain KPIs and metrics and report on performance to management

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and recommend improvements to the supply chain process

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement management, with a focus on end-to-end supply chain activities

• Experience managing people

• Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic

• Strong knowledge of supply chain procedures and policies

• Proficiency in basic computer skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
