Job Description
Job Purpose: The Maintenance Officer is responsible for coordinating and supervising all Engineering and maintenance activities to manage the function per the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop routine and preventative maintenance strategies to ensure that the entire facility is kept operational;
Conducting inspections of facilities to identify potential problems in need of repair or maintenance;
Inspecting equipment to ensure the proper functioning of heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.;
Performing maintenance activities such as replacing light bulbs and air filters, repairing leaky pipes or broken appliances, and painting walls;
Co-ordinate and supervise all Engineering and Maintenance personnel including improvement in response times to breakdowns;
Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures;
Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs sheet;
Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary;
Actively participates in competitive shopping for price quotes as a measure of cost containment;
To be hands-on in maintenance and engineering works as and when required in order to fulfill business requirements;
Coordinate the planned maintenance activities of all machinery on site to ensure a safe working environment for all employees allied to maximizing efficiency;
Assist in the tendering process for repair and renovation work, supplies, and equipment costs;
Other tasks assigned by the immediate manager.
Requirements
Academic qualification
BA in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Additional qualifications
Ability to undertake various tasks;
Excellent time management abilities;
Strong Coordinating and leadership skills;
Good communication and negotiation skills;
Strong planning and organizational skills;
Commitment to customer service;
Years of experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar field;
Salary: Negotiable
