Job Description
A Chief engineer takes charge of an entire engineering department, leading a team as they complete the resort maintenance. Chief engineers work alongside other engineers and technicians, Leads installation, approving designs, calculating costs, negotiating contracts, and executing plans safely and efficiently.
Chef Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.
Respond to resorts and management inquires.
Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.
Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses.
Train engineering department staff on correct maintenance procedures and assists in repairs as needed.
Responsible for quality service, meeting/exceeding financial goals, short and long term planning and day-to-day operations.
Leads installation of all new equipment.
Ensure the proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
Perform daily and weekly property document inspections.
Ensure property, grounds, physical plant and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment and conditions are to code.
Include, but are not limited to, the keeping of operational standard and the maintenance and repair of the resort, structure and all mechanical and electrical equipment.
In addition the Chief Engineer is responsible for all fixed and portable fire-fighting equipment
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
More than four years of maintenance experience
Advanced knowledge of hotel operational material maintenance, with positive attitude, Good communication skills and Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
