About Dodai

Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated company originating from Delaware, USA that wishes to resolve the issue of lack of access to efficient and affordable mobility for gig workers in Ethiopia. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa.

Purpose of the Position

The Marketing Manager for Dodai will be part of a dynamic marketing team and will be responsible for the planning, execution and optimization of all online marketing efforts. 

As we prepare for our exciting launch in several weeks, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and ensure a successful market entry. S/he will be responsible to ensure the visibility of Dodai’s products and services to the intended audience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive pre-launch and post-launch marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives, in collaboration with the senior management team and other teams, including sales and product.

• Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that resonates with our target audience.

• Lead the development and execution of all marketing activities, including but not limited to, digital marketing, content creation, social media, public relations, events, and partnerships, to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.

• Create and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to achieve maximum ROI.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media, industry influencers, and partners to enhance brand awareness and reach.

• Conduct market research and gather customer insights to identify target audience segments, tailor marketing campaigns, and uncover new business opportunities.

• Monitor and analyze the performance of all marketing activities, making data-driven decisions to optimize and improve the effectiveness of campaigns.

• Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

• Ensure compliance with all local and national regulations, maintaining the company's reputation and integrity.

• Develop and execute lead generation and customer acquisition strategies to drive revenue growth.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related fields

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies, preferably in the gig market or with experience in pre-launch marketing.

• Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media, content marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.

• Working knowledge of relevant tools (e.g., Canva, Google Analytics, Photoshop etc.)

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimize marketing campaigns.

• Experience in managing budgets and delivering strong ROI.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt to changing business needs.

• Fluency in English and Amharic, both written and spoken.
