1.       JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision of the Department Head, Medical Director, the incumbent is responsible for effective implementation & close follow-up of all safety programs, polices & procedures related to Occupational, Chemical, Mechanical, Water; Food , hygiene & health Safeties within the Health Facility.

2.       DUTIES/TASKS

• Conduct & Coordinate Environmental Cleaning of the hospital

• Coordinate & supervise service area cleaning

• Monitor Waste management process( Segregation, Collection & Temporary Storage) & guide and transport in the hospital

• Monitor & Control laundry activities of the hospital

• Monitor and evaluate the application of safety rules, procedures and guidelines

• Ensure the planning and the adequacy of personal protective equipment in the respective service areas

• Monitor and evaluate Kitchen Staff medical checks periodically

• Guide/Coach IP Practice adherence

• Design a system for environmental Health Process

B.      Skills, Attitudes and Attributes

• Good Communication skills

• Good knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, National standards and guidelines relevant to Environmental Health and Safety

• Ability to apply professional approaches to safety related issues

• Ability to organize, prepare and conduct regular inspection, investigation, supervision, training and meeting related to environmental Health and Safety

• Strong personal commitment to the Values of MeQrez and to put it into practice;
