On behalf of our client, EconInsight Center for Development Research PLC, we seek a competent Research Officer.

EconInsight is mainly working on consultancy and research management in diverse development areas with a strong focus on collecting and analyzing innovative microeconomic datasets.

Position Summary:
This role will support the researchers who are leading research and evaluation projects. Data cleaning on a continuous basis using a stata .do file is the main responsibility of the research officer. Some of the responsibilities are listed below.
• Oversee primary and secondary data management activities;
• Develop research tools
• Conduct statistical and econometric analysis and draft analytical reports;
• Support stakeholder engagements;
• Prepare literature review and synthesis;
• Administer and conduct primary and secondary data collection;
• Undertake data management activities;
• Conduct statistical and econometric analysis;
• Assist in the write-up of research reports and papers;
• Develop and conduct policy dissemination;
• Support stakeholder engagements;
• Help in the training of enumerators, supervisors, and auditors

Required Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in economics or related studies
• At least three years of research experience preferably in development and impact assessment large-scale research activities preferably in similar research companies
• An excellent command of STATA is a must
• Knowledge of other Data Analysis and Statistical Software is a plus
• Knowledge of SurveyMonkey and other survey software is a plus
• Strong analytical and academic writing skills are a must
• Ability to work effectively and flexibly with little supervision

Required number and employment status – 2 (1 on a permanent base and 1 for a year renewable contract)
Salary & Benefit
• 65,000 -80,000 Monthly gross Salary based on prior experience
