Job Description
Purpose statement:
Under the direct supervision of HR operations Manager, HR Officer – L & D is responsible to handle human resource development activities which includes performance management system, training and development such as assess the training and development needs of each department to drive its growth by conducting the training needs analysis (TNA), Identify learning opportunities for candidates who exhibit leadership and supervisory qualities, create and implement individual and collective training plans for employees, collect feedback from employees about the progress of training programs, analyze the effectiveness of the training program by using performance metrics and KPIs, career development and performance management etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Auditing and assessing learning and development needs.
Conduct training need assessment.
Identify individual gap assessment.
Developing training plans
Prepare training curriculum, training content, training material.
Assists in managing the organization’s learning systems.
Implementing training plans
Conduct post training assessments, case studies and evaluate.
Assist in designing employee development plan and implementation.
Assist in conduct training and facilitate with training providing vendors to conduct trainings.
Collecting feedback
Ensuring certifications are logged and captured in the HRMS.
Assist in monitoring organizational performance improvements.
Assist in managing internal and external trainers.
Assists in managing the training budget.
Compile and avail all necessary reports.
Supports the supervisors in determining training needs of their team, discuss those needs with the department Directors and assists him/her in determining appropriate staff development plans.
Assist in facilitation of implementation of RSDPLC performance appraisal system; ensures that managers are equipped with the necessary skills to conduct probationary evaluations and annual appraisals.
Assist in designing and implementation of a comprehensive communication plan whereby the employees are kept abreast of issues related to human resource development matters.
Ensures strict confidentiality with respect to all HR file management and correspondences.
Participates and assists work units in carrying out performance appraisal of their staff.
Ensure timely performance management (evaluations) is undertaken in company.
Qualifications:
BA Degree in Human Resources Management/ Management/Business Administration/Psychology or other related fields of study.
A minimum 3 years’ experience in training and development, staff performance management and/or other related activities out of which one year in senior/equivalent capacity.
Competencies:
Training facilitation and curriculum designing skill.
Exceptional computer skill, excel, word, VISO, ppt etc…
Communication, Report and Writing skill.
Organizational ability
Persuasion and facilitation skill.
Interpersonal skills, the ability to detail orientation.
Presentation skill
