Position Title: Human Resource Consultant

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: DCR

Based in: Addis Ababa

Duration of contract:  45 days

Background

PSI/Ethiopia/PSI/E work with both the private and public sectors in HIV/AIDS Prevention & Treatment, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Non-Communicable Diseases, and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH). PSI/E plans to conduct a Job evaluation exercise to support the grading and salary structure/ compensation levels in the organization. The job evaluation shall cover the current 320 jobs in the organization. As part of this process, PSI/E is looking to engage a highly experienced independent consultant /firm who has a demonstrated expertise conduct this exercise. He/She will be responsible and accountable to the overall assignment on the terms of reference and report back to the PSI/E Deputy Country Representative, Operations as per its stated on the below deliverables schedule.  The consultant will remain engaged in the overall process and provide support and feedback.

Objective and Scope of the Assignment

To support PSI/E Human Resource team in analyzing salary grade and structure against job grade requirements, matching current pay for all workers with updated salary structure, and identifying any necessary adjustments that may arise with this process.

Description of Tasks and Deliverables

 Time Frame

A maximum of 45 calendar days is anticipated. The tentative start date for this assignment will be May 4th, 2023.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or other related fields,

  • Work experience in conducting similar work and providing two/three references,

  • Strong analytical skills, including legal analysis,

  • Demonstrated evidence in doing similar activities and

  • Member of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), if needed.
