Job Description

As Collector/Receivable clerk, you will be responsible for all timely Collect cash from Guests by making sure all preconditions are fulfilled.  Collector/Receivable clerk will also be required to coordinate with various work units where clarification is needed and support is required.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards,

  • Timely Collect cash from Guests by making sure all preconditions are fulfilled

  • To collect outstanding amounts is a high priority to ensure a positive cash flow for the hotel

  • Compute accurately all travel agents’ commissions cost payable; deduct from invoice or pay only to authorized travel agents,

  • Ensure that necessary information in regard to overdue accounts is supplied to the proper person for follow up, inform the Finance Manager,

  • Control, by recording, posting and balancing, all advance deposits,

  • Queries and account disputes have to be clarified with the proper person or Finance Manager and respond immediately,

  • Remainders and letters have to be sent to overdue accounts

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or any other relevant filed of study,

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the area or related,

  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate,

  • Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems,

  • Driving License & Effective Driving skill

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)
