Job Description
Key roles and responsibilities
Installation, upgrade, and management of database applications
Installation and maintenance of database servers
Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Analysis and troubleshooting of database errors
Performance tuning of database systems
Creation of database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
Capacity planning and Implementation
Monitoring of database performance Database security and optimization
Development of processes for optimization of database security
Back-up and recovery management, incl. restoration activities
Management of database access and authentication
Establishment of automation of repeating database tasks
Grade: 13
Permanent upon successful completion of probation period.
Salary: 13,959.00 birr
Benefits: health coverage, monthly Transport allowance of 2,000.00 birrs, monthly housing allowance of 1,500.00 birr
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or related field.
Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools.
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Experience with database technologies (e.g. MySQL, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL.
MCSE/MCSA /SQL certifications
