Key roles and responsibilities   

• Conduct psychological assessments and/or tests for diagnostic purposes.

• Develop an individualized treatment plan for each child.

• Educate family members on what they can do for their child or how to respond to certain behaviors.

• Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments.

• Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

• Must be knowledgeable of different therapeutic methods and be able to switch between different approaches to meet each child’s needs.

• Assist affected children and families to realize happiness and fulfillment in their daily lives, thereby achieving their developmental milestones.

• Coordinate with other child health experts, like child protection workers, pediatricians and social workers to facilitate and ensure the psychological development of a child.

Salary: 8,519.00 birr

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

• First degree in Psychology, Social works, related field

• Minimum of 2 years’ of relevant experience in child care center.

• Can provide proof of ethics.

• Can be approachable and empathic for children to be comfortable working with you.
