General Mission

Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Consortium Technical & Communications Officer’s mission concerns technical coordination among the partners in the design and implementation of the ECHO2.0 technical interventions framework aligned with the consortium thematic pillars.

S/he leads and supports the external communication process and works closely with HI-led consortium partners in the country to socialize and position the work of the consortium at the higher stakeholders and donor level. 

Missions / Responsibilities

Mission/Result 1 - Consortium technical coordination 

Responsibility 1: Support in defining the technical framework (Health, Nutrition, Protection, WASH, and Mine Action Sectors) for the consortium partners (IMC, MTI, HI, and EPSS)

Responsibility 2: Coordinate the consortium technical committee in order to plan, implement and monitor the technical/ sectorial area of collaboration

Mission/Result 2 - Consortium communications

Responsibility 1: Define the communication strategy and information-sharing mechanism for the consortium partners (IMC, MTI, HI, and EPSS)

Responsibility 2: Planning/ implementation of the communication plan of HI under the consortium

Responsibility 3: Documentation and dissemination of consortium activities as per the approved communication plan

Mission/Result 3 - Standards, expertise, and influence

Responsibility 1: Develop inclusive and accessible communication standards

Responsibility 2: Define effective communication and dissemination channels

Responsibility 3: Develop and manage the social media handle for HI

Responsibility 4: Support to foster a learning environment within HI and the consortium

Job Requirements

KnowledgeKnow-howInterpersonal skills▪  Education: Master’s degree in social science/ communication or in any other relevant field.▪
