Job Description
The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) was established in 1991 as non-profit, non-partisan, and an independent research and membership organization. Following the new Civil Society Agency proclamation that has permitted CSO’s to engage in business activities, EEA has established an independent business wing IGA-ESE. Under this wing, IGA-ESE has been executing different business activities like Building rent, Cafeteria, Consultancy and others.
For this purpose, IGA-ESE would like to recruit professionals who meet the following listed qualifications and criteria for position ‘Senior Accountant’.
Job responsibility:
The successful applicant will be responsible for
Complying with all company, local and federal accounting and financial regulations.
Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data and computing taxes.
Maintaining accurate financial records and creating periodic reports.
Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Job Requirements
MA in Accounting/Finance and a minimum of 4 years’ experience.
Working knowledge of Tax Laws and GAAP and IFRS.
Proficiency in Peachtree (Sage) software, Quick Books and Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and other accounting software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
