Desta PLC is an independent, family-run and family-owned ethical garment manufacturer based in Ethiopia. We provide a full range of cutting, sewing and finishing services including accessories and embroidery. We currently employ more than 2,000 people and ship products around the world. We specialize in t-shirts, uniforms and fashion items for youth and adults.
Job Summery:
To provide accurate and timely financial information, thoughtful business insights and analytics to ensure that business leaders are effective in creating and executing the business strategy and operating plan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure proper review of new budgets and realignment/modification budgets at both HQ and all business unit level, incorporating all feedback and ensuring that budgets are error free.
Build budgeting tools and templates and establish standardized budgeting processes.
Carry out budget plan and co-ordinate review of budget submission
Analyse competitors and market trends and develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.
Monitor expenditures to ensure that they remain with authorize level
Over sees the review and finalize of budget performance report
Monitor variances between approved budget and actual expenditure
Prepare /finalizes reports for management on budgetary issues , guidelines and instructions
Write and edit budget narratives, as needed.
Provide financial guidance and support to senior leadership so they can make sound business decisions.
Lead the development of financial management reporting on time.
Lead the development of financial strategies, budgets and plans.
Monitor and interpret financial information, which are related to cash flows, working capital requirements and predicting future trends.
Evaluate the financial merit and implications of major business decisions and proposals.
Recommend robust financial control including the identification of potential cost savings.
Monitor internal and external factors influencing financial performance and advise senior management accordingly.
Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, and operating plan.
Perform other duties when and as assigned.
Qualification:
BA in Finance and Accounting or relevant fields of study.
Eight years of relevant experience of which, four years at senior level.
Basic computer skill, Knowledge of accounting software application ,ERP
Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality,
IFRS trained
N.B: Experience in corporate company is preferable
