Brief Profile of the College:
Established in 2019, SKILLMART INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE is an accredited private higher education institution. The college is part of the Skillmart Educational Development S.C. The Share Company is the first education-based share company established with the aim of providing quality education from kindergarten through tertiary level. It was organized by experienced professionals in the Ethiopian higher education sector. Currently the College is offering different Postgraduate programs including Project Management, Analysis, and Evaluation, Business Administration (MBA) and Accounting and Finance as well as Undergraduate Degree programs in Accounting & Finance and Marketing Management at its Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar Campuses. Skillmart is also offering a number of short term, tailor-made training programs facilitated by experts in the field. As part of its plan in ensuring fast and satisfactory customer service at all levels, the College invites qualified and interested applicants in the following vacant position/s who will assist in realizing its goal.
Summary of Job Requirements:
Any successful candidate for this advertised position is expected to be able to plan, coordinate, and direct all activities of the Campus’s Academic operations. S/he is expected to have a rich knowledge and experience of postgraduate, undergraduate as well as TVET program coordination in the Ethiopian context and more specifically the private sector. Moreover, the successful candidate for this advertised position will be able to initiate and design appropriate Campus level academic and administrative strategy and ensure its implementation, whenever necessary, representing the Campus in different matters and leading employees and coordinate their activities by creating /building appropriate linkage so as to attain desired result.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and directs all academic activities of all programs in the Campus;
Prepares the annual plan and ensures proper implementation upon approval;
Ensures that all the instructors execute their duties according to the given schedule;
Make sure that students are advised and supported to advance their studies properly in the college;
Controls and supervises support staff assigned in the campus;
Deals with appeals from support staff and students within the campus;
Ensures that all the facilities of the campus are properly handled and utilized for effective operation;
Coordinates examinations conducted in the campus, and makes sure that all assigned staff have executed their duties accordingly;
Ensure proper conduction of all continuous assessments and final examinations and that feedbacks are given immediately;
Supervises the proper utilization of libraries, laboratories, reading/study centres and other facilities within the campus;
Consistently updates reference materials in the library in consultation with the management;
Facilitates and assists with the registration and fee collection activities on the campus;
Coordinates and monitors thesis executions in contact with advisors, examiners as well as researchers;
Coordinates institutional as well as national assessments conducted in the campus, and makes sure that all responsible bodies have executed their duties accordingly;
Ensure proper conduction of all project works and classroom assessments and that feedbacks are given immediately;
Consistently updates TTLMs, Trainers Guides, Learning Guides, session plans, and other reference materials in the libraries/demonstration rooms in collaboration with responsible bodies within and outside of the College;
Coordinates and monitors cooperative training programs at all places and levels;
Supervises, handles, and resolves disciplinary cases of the students, and other personnel under his/her jurisdiction;
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports with respect to all academic activities of the Campus, and
Carry out other activities as required.

Essential Competencies & Qualities
Familiarity to the FDRE’s Education sector and more specifically ETA’s regulations and systems;
Familiarity to TVET requirements of the country in general and the region in particular;
Oral & Written fluency in English and Amharic languages;
Knowledge of the theories, principles & practices of management;
Excellent facilitation and networking skills; proven experience in coordinating & leading team/s;
Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills;
Excellent interpersonal & demonstrational skills;
Good communication and report writing skills;
Ability to work in pressures and to meet deadlines;
Faithfulness to work ethics, to the rules and regulations in all aspects
Educational Qualification & Experience
MA/MSc/BA/BSc in Project Management, Business Administration, Leadership, Management, Educational Leadership, and other Business related fields;
A minimum of 5 years (for MA/MSc) and 10 years (for BA/BSc) directly related experience in the Ethiopian Higher Education sector of which at least two years as Dean/ Vice Dean, Department Head, Program Coordinator, Quality Assurance Head, etc. in Private Higher Education Institutions;
