Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen;

  • Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs;

  • Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way;

  • Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations;

  • Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment;

  • Take part in the preparation of a wide range of varieties of food like cakes, pies and bread using traditional and modern recipes to meet customers; demands;

  • Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation;

  • Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed, and within budget;

  • Create new and exciting desserts to renew hotels menus and engage the interest of customers;

  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes;

  • Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of toppings and ensure the food presentation is beautiful and exciting;

  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards;

  • Carrying out and coordinating pastry kitchen operations efficiently and without supervision;

  • Setting up and arranging displays of cakes and other confectionery items for sale;

  • Ensuring work equipment and utensils are kept clean and in good working order;

  • Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays.

Job Requirements

Academic qualification

  • Degree in Food Preparation

 Additional qualifications

  • Creativity and excessive ability to details

    • Organizational and communication skills

    • Meticulousness and attention to detail;

    • Strong organizational and planning skills;

    • In-depth information about hygiene principles;

    • Good communion and team player

Years of experience: 4+ years of experience as a pastry in a reputable pastry;

Salary: Negotiable
